On April 3, the Supervisory Board of Sadales tīkls AS, after evaluating the performance of the previous term, reappointed Kristīne Sarkane as a Board Member for another five-year term. Sarkane has been a member of Sadales tīkls AS Board since 2021, overseeing the company’s financial management and supply chain operations. The existing Board members — Chairman Sandis Jansons and Board Members Baiba Priedīte, Vīgants Radziņš, and Raimonds Skrebs — will continue in their roles.
The strategic goal of Sadales tīkls AS is to ensure a sustainable and economically viable electricity distribution service for society. To achieve this, one of the company’s priorities is securing funding for efficient grid development, including EU funds, as well as managing material and supply flows, enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring financial discipline, and maintaining transparent and justified tariffs for customers.
Sarkane brings 25 years of experience in financial management, having worked in large international and local financial, IT&T, and manufacturing companies.
Sadales tīkls AS is the largest electricity distribution system operator in Latvia, a subsidiary of Latvenergo AS. The company supplies electricity to more than one million customer sites and maintains the electricity network throughout Latvia with the total length of appr. 92,000 kilometers. Latvenergo AS is the sole shareholder of Sadales tīkls AS.
