One of Europe’s leading fashion retailers, New Yorker, is set to expand its presence in Latvia with a new 1,500+ m² flagship store at Novira Plaza Riga. Scheduled to open in autumn 2025, this marks not only New Yorker’s second-largest location in the country but also one of the most significant new fashion retail openings in the Baltic region this year.
Strategically positioned at Riga’s busiest intersection, Novira Plaza attracts over 70,000 daily pedestrians, providing a prime retail setting for brands targeting dynamic, fashion-forward consumers. New Yorker’s presence here underscores the brand’s commitment to engaging with young, style-conscious shoppers in vibrant urban environments. Designed with the brand’s latest store concept, the new location will offer an immersive shopping experience that reflects its fast-fashion identity.
Jolanta Jurga, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Evernord Asset Management, welcomed New Yorker’s decision, emphasizing the strategic location advantages: "Novira Plaza stands at the heart of Riga’s busiest crossroads, making it a highly attractive destination for retailers. We are delighted to welcome New Yorker to our retail mix and look forward to seeing their success in this dynamic location."
Raitis Sapuns, New Yorker Regional manager in Latvia, expressed enthusiasm for the expansion: "With this new store, we are further strengthening our position in Latvia. Novira Plaza’s central location, strong pedestrian flow, and excellent connectivity make it an ideal choice for our second-largest store in the country."
Jevgenija Kiselova, Partner and Head of Retail Agency at Colliers Baltics, highlighted the significance of the deal: "This is the largest retail transaction in Latvia so far in 2025, reinforcing Novira Plaza as one of the most sought-after retail locations in the city. The strong demand from international brands reflects the strength and capability of retailers to develop in dynamic locations."
