AS “Agrova Baltics” (Nasdaq Baltic First North: EGG) informs that on 30 March 2026, LTV1 broadcast information and video material concerning one of the Agrova Baltics Group’s subsidiaries SIA “Alūksnes putnu ferma”, a leading producer in the Baltic region in barn egg production, accounting for approximately 80% of the Group’s total egg output, and in recent years, since the resumption of operations, has invested EUR 27 million in the development of the Alūksne region.
The Company notes that the information presented in the broadcast does not provide a complete or fact-based representation of the subsidiary’s operations.
AS “Agrova Baltics” emphasizes that since the resumption of operations of SIA “Alūksnes putnu ferma” in 2016/2017, no animal welfare violations have been identified and no penalties have been imposed. Supporting documentation has been provided to the programme producers. In addition, the Latvian Food and Veterinary Service, in its most recent inspection on 16 March 2026, identified no violations.
The Company further confirms that the equipment and technological solutions used at the facility comply with applicable Latvian and European Union regulatory requirements. SIA “Alūksnes putnu ferma” operates in accordance with international food safety and quality standards, is certified, and undergoes regular scheduled and unscheduled inspections, including audits by international certification bodies.
The Company also notes that media representatives were invited to visit the production facilities to review operations on-site; these invitations were not accepted.
Hermanis Dovgijs, Chairman of the Management Board of SIA “Alūksnes putnu ferma”, commented: “We recognize that the footage shown may create concern. At the same time, we have reason to question the origin and interpretation of the materials used. Our operations are subject to regular oversight, and available evidence confirms compliance with applicable standards. We are evaluating further legal steps to protect the Company’s reputation while continuing cooperation with the relevant authorities.”
SIA “Alūksnes putnu ferma” continues to operate without disruption. AS “Agrova Baltics” will continue to inform the market of any material developments in accordance with applicable regulations.
