A 2,000 square meter pile of waste burned at the sorting and recycling center. The State Environmental Service has been informed about the situation.
“At the moment, the fire is localized, the sorting and processing lines, as well as the equipment, are not affected by fire. Thank you to the emergency services for the quick response. It is too early to talk about the causes of the fire at this time, but the most common causes of such cases are electrical equipment thrown into unsorted construction waste, which can catch fire,” informs Ēriks Gusevs, Chairman of the Board of CleanR Verso.
